SINUS AND ALLERGIESAutumn seem to be the season that triggers allergy and sinus problems in people that are susceptible. Ragweed and Goldenrod are still in full bloom, and those leaves that are turning those beautiful colors are a major culprit. We have left over pollens and dust from the summer, and then or furnaces are kicking on as the temperature cools down. What results , can be headaches, stuffy noses, watery eyes, and sinus infections. What can we do about all this ? Well------try everything! But here are some natural solutions that I have found effective with many of my clients. First of all , Pycnogenol is a powerful antioxidant from the maritime pine tree , that works as a natural anti-inflammatory, and a natural antihistamine. It is 20 times more powerful than Vitamine C, and it enhances Vitamin C when taken together. Sometimes , it alone can bring the results you are looking for. You need to take enough of it though. (1 mg per lb of your body weight to start.) The other supplement that can be very effective , especially if you have a tendency towards infection , is Colloidal Silver. This is natures' most powerful antibiotic. Silver can be used as a preventive on a daily basis. It can be used both orally, or sprayed directly into the nostrils. It can also be used in the eyes and ears. When you are using a quality brand, it is completely safe both for children and adults. I have found it so valuable in treating many types of infections; viral, bacterial and fungus. You should keep your house very clean, especially your bedroom, and bedding, windows closed, with a good air purifier . REFLEXOLOGY is the other therapy that I would highly recommend for all types of sinus or allergy problems. The pads of all the toes represent the sinus area , and the root and the base of the toes represent the eyes and ears. A Certified Reflexologist knows just how to get in there and work those reflexes sometimes getting immediate results, such as drainage or a relief from inflammation. The other area that we would work , would be the adrenal gland reflex. This gland produces nature' s cortisone and adrenaline to help reduce inflammation in the body. In between treatment, you can use a Reflexology machine or roller, and some deep massage on those feet, but nothing really replaces a professional treatment a couple of times a week when you are really experiencing symptoms.
