30-Day Vision Observation
The AO Illuminator was featured in an informal 30-day observation involving red-light exposure and AO Vision strips.
The objective was to evaluate changes in self-reported eye symptoms and the ability to read lines on a printed Snellen vision chart.
Observation Protocol Described
Participants were instructed to:
- Print a Snellen eye chart.
- Mark a consistent standing position for vision measurements.
- Record the smallest line they could clearly read with the right eye, left eye, and both eyes.
- Record their existing eye-related symptoms.
- Use the AO Illuminator daily for 30 days, with an approximately 12-inch paper towel tube positioned between the light and each open eye.
- Use the light for 2–3 minutes per eye, at a tolerable brightness.
- Take AO Vision orally each day.
- Repeat the vision and symptom assessments at the end of the observation period.

Participation
- 102 participants began.
- 65 participants completed the observation.
- Completion was self-reported.
- Assessments were performed at home.
- The observation did not include a reported control group.
Reported Results
Average number of reported eye symptoms
Beginning
6.9
End of 30 days
2.9
A reported reduction of 4 symptoms on average, approximately 58%.
Average Snellen chart line reached
Self-reported readings before and after the 30-day observation.
| Measurement | Beginning | End | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Right eye | 5.3 | 7.5 | +2.2 lines |
| Left eye | 5.4 | 7.2 | +1.8 lines |
| Both eyes | 5.9 | 7.4 | +1.5 lines |
The session verbally described the both-eyes improvement as 1.8 lines, although the reported figures calculate to 1.5 lines.
4. AO Illuminator — Additional Applications
The Illuminator was also discussed for applications beyond vision.
Head and Temple Area
The session described using the Illuminator near the temples with lavender and peppermint essential oils.
The suggested approach included rating discomfort on a 1–10 scale before and after a session to observe changes.
Sinus and Facial Areas
Applications discussed included:
- Areas beneath the eyes.
- Facial regions associated with sinus discomfort.
- Gentle external light application over selected facial areas.
Neuro Reset and Relaxation
A sequence was described involving the nose, ears, throat, and base of the skull.
Additional relaxation practices included gentle tapping, humming, and slow breathing.
These techniques were described as supporting nervous-system regulation, but the transcript did not provide clinical evidence that the sequence resets the brain or vagus nerve.
Hands and Acupressure Points
The areas discussed included:
- Fingertips.
- Webbing between the thumb and index finger.
- Areas of hand tightness or discomfort.
- Acupressure-related points.
Abdominal Area
The belly button was mentioned as another application location, sometimes combined with essential oils.
